'The Lifeguard' Lands at Screen Media and Focus World

The Lifeguard, which had it's world premiere at SUNDANCE 2013, was one of the last films that DI'd at OFFHOLLYWOOD prior to us selling our post production operations division to Light Iron. Two of the producers of the film, Mike Landry & Carlos Velazquez, are long-time collaborators with OFFHOLLYWOOD. Previous projects we worked together on include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead, Spaz and Alter Egos.

This March, it’s good to be Kristen Bell. Hot off the announcement that a “Veronica Mars” movie will indeed see the light of the day following a record-breaking Kickstarter run, Focus World and Screen Media Films have partnered together to acquire U.S. rights to her Sundance indie vehicle “The Lifeguard,” written and directed by first-time filmmaker Liz W. Garcia.
